HAHA Industries is extremely proud to announce THE FIRST AUSTRALIAN TOUR of one of the most mysterious and enigmatic figures in Techno today….
The story begins back in early 2006, when techno’s masked man appeared as a RED blip on the radar for the first time, impressively enough, on MUSIC MAN, DELSIN, and STYRAX LEAVES all in the same year!
His releases from almost day one, kicked him into the international techno scene, getting support from a virtual who’s who of Techno. Since coming to prominence, few producers have come close to matching his mission – To have each and every REDSHAPE release held in the highest regard by the most discerning techno aficionados.
Yet while his sounds have been incorporated into the yearly top track listings of dance music magazines and websites across the globe since their release, trying to describe his sound is a difficult task. It sits somewhere between everything encompassing dance music and REDSHAPE’s own imagination. He states, “it’s not minimal, not maximal but always historical, respecting the vibe of Detroit.”
However, repetition is definitely something REDSHAPE endeavors to prevent. His LIVE shows; which have brought him to nearly every known European club, morph and develop from moment to moment -”making music out of music”- so that he will never play the same show a second time.
His work has been released on other seminal labels aside from those listed above, including R&S, POKER FLAT, FABRIC and not forgetting of course his own label PRESENT RECORDINGS.
Working with DELSIN RECORDS again late last year, he released his highly anticipated and now intensely acclaimed debut album “THE DANCE PARADOX” setting things up for a blindingly bright 2010!
Redshape’s releases have received strong support from some of electronic music’s most distinguished artists including; Laurent Garnier (F-comm), Ben Sims (Theory), Dave Clark ( Magnetic North), Deetron (Music Man), Manuel Tur (Compost), Samuel L Session (Ibadan), Steve Bug (Poker Flat), Michel Cleis (Cadenza), Quarion (Four:Twenty), Glimpse (Planet E), Dan Curtin (Mobilee), etc etc…
